Work ex mandatory for Job Applications?

Me and my wife are applying for Canadian PR with me as primary applicant.
I have 3 years of work experience while my wife is a PhD with 6 months of work ex. We are planning that post PR (if we get it), she would move to Canada and start searching for a Job while I'll stay back in India while she gets one. So, is it fair to assume that she will be eligible to apply for jobs in Canada with less than a year of work ex?

Yes for job hunting purpose she should be fine. Just remember finding a job is the same everywhere in the world, what matters is your credentials and experience. She would get a job befitting her experience.
