Good day folks and Ramadan Mubarak,

My question is that, if I got a study permit based on LOA in DLI located in Manitoba and for September intake, can I change the DLI to be for January intake and for different course and different Province (Alberta ).

Please advise.

Yes you can change. However, there are a lot of if's & but's. u do need to land in the country with the current visa and place a request to ur college requesting for the same. If they accept then u need to intimate the embassy there(neway ur college will). But for that you need to have a valid reason if not the entire process wil backfire. Earlier on it was easy and students used to do in order to work in the given time.
Best i would recommend u contact ur college from India asking to defer admission and requesting for a different province. Pls note that upon stamping of the visa within 3months u have to be present in the country else ur visa gets invalid.

Hi, if u applied via online, then u must have a username n password to ur acc in gckey? Do u have it? Btw y is your agent not sharing the info with u? U have every right to check on ur application so jus ask him or her. Once u have the info, login to the account and it will ask for u for a security question once u give that then u will actually be able to see ur application submitted and if there is any unread messages.

Jus fyi, the website keeps kicking u out everytime u try login, so keep trying.. Also email updates are ridiculous, nthng come on time. So dont rely on ur emails. Make it a point to check ur online acc 2 twice a day atleast.

Hey dont worry they are people who applied in February are still waiting and they are people who applied in April received an update. It all varies from file to file. I am waiting since April 13th and my lawyer too wouldn't share my online log in credentials. Yes, if ur email id is given at the time of application, for any development in ur case, you will receive an email stating ur file has been updated. Then u can cross check with ur agent. Relax and stay positive as the processing time is now 7 weeks.

Very well explained! When i have applied for the 1st time through an agent in India he did share my login credentials, but there are certain law firms and agents who apply through their portal and dont wish to share info and make it clear when we sign the agreement. Cant help in these cases like mine. Regarding update via email i did receive all the email updates on time from CIC in my 1st application.

Any way I am sure the agent will keep checking and inform u on time if any update coz holding it back is of no benefit to him. All the best guys..

Can totally understand and relate. Dont compare as it differs from case to case. One of my friend applied on the 19th April online and got rejected on 2nd May. So all we can do is be hopeful and fingers crossed. Dont worry stay positive n wait with patience. Keep following this thread as people do post if they have any update.

Hey, There are people like n many others applied in Feb n March for May intake n we are still waiting! You applied on 20th April and right now the processing time is 7 weeks, so u gotta wait untill the normal processing time is passed.

Received the acknowledgement letter on 24th april and no communication after that. the online account says that they have still not started review of eligibility. Worried after listening that people who applied in april have got their visa.

I went through same situation just wait and pray
I applied 29 march
Nd received pp request yesterday
So only u can do wait and hope for best
