spousal sponsorship for pr while on visitor visa

hey all

does anyone know if spousal sponsorship application can be filed by Canadian spouse while other spouse is in canada on a visitors visa or does it need to filed when incoming spouse is in his/her own country ?

secondly does anyone know if the spousal paperwork needs to be signed off by a lawyer/responsible person before submission

thanks the extra concern in this case is that the incoming spouse (applying for PR) went to secondary questioning at airport around declared intent .(visiting fiance to plan wedding) after this let through.

they since married at city hall and are to submit spousal sponsorship paperwork
does the incoming spouse need to return home to at end of visit while waiting on Sponsorship application . ?

We did this and therewas no issue. We didnt need an interview so he didnt leave. Just make sure you keep in status

So he stayed on past his visitor visa expiring ? And the PR was approved ?

We always applied to extend it so he was legal here. Yupp approved no issues at all
