Getting married before landing. Both have received ITA

I have a specific query wherein I seek some guidance from all of you.

I am from India. I have applied for Express entry after having received my ITA. I am expecting to get the Visa (if everything goes smoothly) by August. I am planning to get married this December and my would be spouse has also applied for Express entry PR around the same time as I have and she is also expecting to get visa by August.

My question is how to go ahead with the reporting to VO about change in status after having received my Visa and also how it would affect already obtained Visa for both of us.

Provided you land as PRs before marrying, you don't need to inform IRCC of anything.

Thanks for the quick response. I am still not sure as a lot of posts here mentioned that any change in status before landing needs to be informed to the VO. I am tentatively getting married after getting visa and before landing.

If you get married before landing, you both need to add the other to your PR app.

If you get married before visa stamping, inform them by raising a CSE and explain that both of you have applied for Express Entry. If you get married after visa stamping and before landing, then you need to declare yourself married at the time of landing. The immigration officer will ask you whether there was a change in family composition, and there you can declare that you got married.

Also, keep in mind the processing can take up to 6 months.

If they get married at any point before landing, they need to inform IRCC and each add their spouse to their app. Visa stamping is irrelevent.
