Expiring Passport

Hi Team,

My Express entry score is above the cutoff score, however I havnt created the Express entry profile yet.
My passport is going to expire in 3 months, Can I still create the profile and submit it for recieveing ITA and later update the New passport number before submitting the Final application? or I need to renew the passport first and then apply for receiving the ITA, Please help.

I would recommend you to renew your passport first. It doesn't take very long. You need to have atleast 6 months validity at the time of ita.

Not really. The 6 months validity is required at the time of stamping, not during the ITA.

You can create profile with current passport and submit the application post ITA with the renewed passport.

Not really. The 6 months validity is required at the time of stamping, not during the ITA.

Oh yes, I stand corrected. Its advisable to have a 1 year validity so that you have at least 6 months at the time of stamping.
