What does it mean Pre Arrival email?
In which stage they are sending pre arrival email to applicant?
Can someone explain this?

Pre Arrival means your eligibility is passed and your marriage is genuine

Hi,
I'm applying PR on spouse visa. My husband is going through a lawyer in Canada. So given all the documents to the lawyer on the 29th of Jan 2018.
*on the cic website : received application on the 30th of Jan 2018.
*I got medical request on the 23rd of March 2018 and medical done on the 29th of March 2018.
*medical results received on the 31st of march
*Husband got a mail saying he is approved as a sponsor on the 4th of April 2018.
*On the 11th of April got a mail saying that my file has been transferred to the Delhi (India) office for final processing.
*On the cic website now showing, my file started processing on the 12th of April 2018. What does this mean ?
Does this mean on the 12th, processing started at the Delhi office?
So now whats the next procedure..how long for the Delhi office to process ? How long to get the passport request mail ?

Like I said on the cic it's showing application received on the 30th of jan and I got the file number and medical request on the 23rd of march but now on cic it's showing your application started processing on the 12th of April . I got a mail that my file is transferred to Delhi on the 11th of April . So what does this 12th April mean ? Does that mean the processing in Delhi started on the 12th of April?

I don't know why you are panicking. Ecas will be updated once decision is made which is already made in your case, its just a matter of update and you have seen this with many people in the past too and this is pretty normal behavior. Answering your future question too: You will also see GCkey account updates as well with the visa details once the visa will get stamped. Its pretty normal and may be the only way things get updated. So relax everything is good with your application.

Yes you are correct. The processing started in NDVO on 12th April. This processing basically means your file has been recieved successfully and has been taken care of in NDVO from now. We cant tell when actual processing or bgc processing takes place. For eg: I got transfer mail on Feb 6 and processing started on Feb 14. So processing starts at NDVO after the file gets transferred to the visa office. Its pretty obvious what you saw there.

Hi All,

My spouse's application BG check changed to in-progress on 19th April and I got the e-mail for file transfer to NDVO later than this on 27th April. After this status in ecas changed to we started processing your application on 30th Apr (is this called AOR2 ?).

Can someone please give an idea of how much time it might take after this stage for getting visa ?

When I checked about 8pm ist ( dint know exact time) it was changed in to decision made

Maybe a month or two after Pre Arrival its your background check it wll be soon hopefully what is your timeline?

Also, I submitted my police clearance(Indian PCC and Dubai PCC) to the lawyer in Canada..they said to provide just in case if the gvt asks..but they never asked for it. So is thr a chance that the Delhi office will ask ?
