Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum. Thanks for your help in advance.

I am due to go to Canada in a few months for a year long fellowship in a medical specialty as a clinical fellow (not a postdoctoral fellow). My job is LMIA exempt and I have applied for a work permit which is being processed. Am I eligible to use this job offer for applying for Express Entry?

Also, if this is not an appropriate job for Express Entry, will submitting an application have a negative impact on either my work permit application or future chances for express entry?

Thanks again.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
If you're working on an employer specific work permit which is LMIA exempt you need to work for your employer for at least a year (assuming full-time work). Once you've achieved that you will need an offer following IRCC's guidelines. The most important requirement is having your employer state that you'll be working with them for "a year after becoming PR".
