Got an email saying IRCC needs additional info to continue

Hi

I got a message on GCKeys saying "This is in reference to your application for permanent resident in Canada, In order for us to continue the processing of your application, the following information and documents are required..."

bascially, it needs me to provide creditable evidence that I'm going to Canada. Any idea?

Is this a bad sign of my application? I don't see a lot of people got this. I've done my medical. App was transferred to VO almost a month ago.

They ask for evidence such as resignation letter, or end of tenancy agreement etc they want to see that I’m willing to go to Canada

I had an excel explaining my plan when I submit my app, a tenancy agreement, and a bunch of paper. They’re not “concrete” proof though.

Now they’re asking for it again. Sigh

Any communication/messages with friends/family saying you're returning? Proof of winding up your current residence, like selling a house, moving money, quotes for shipping to Canada etc.? If you have kids, contacted any schools?

This is not uncommon where the sponsor is a Canadian citizen living abroad in certain countries. For many sponsors in the Middle East, where they are there on work permits, they are expected to demonstrate their intent to return to Canada, immediately after PR is granted, by cancelling visas etc.
IRCC have seen too many sponsors fail to comply with the "intent to return to Canada" requirement and are now clamping down on sponsorship abuse.
