Application in ecas. No AOR

Hi all. So I submitted app for 2nd time April 11. It was delivered April 13 and today I checked ecas for the heck of it and seen that there is now info there that was never there before. ( i was able to check as alrwady had a UCI number from old work permit from work program)
On ecas it now says we have received your application and will contact you once your application is being processed. I was also able to link application online. We did not get any AOR email though.

I'm wondering if this is AOR and they just haven't got to email yet or do they now enter apps as they are opened?
I know when I was waiting the first time ( app was returned to me AFTER one month for a mistake ) they never put anything in system and I was told they don't until passes completness check but seeing as it now only says ..received and no aor email ...plus it's only been 3 weeks since sending my app back , if they changed how tbey do things or if that is my aor

Really? I must add that right after I posted this I as the sponsor got an email saying they received my application to sponsor also. I could not link with the uci number they gave me but when I used the online tool it says they received my app and says processing. but still only says received for hubbys and still no email for his. I am confused lol

thats because its technically two applications -- one to sponsor and one for the sponsored. when you get the aor you will get 2!! one for sponsor application and one for your hubs

So the fact I am now able to link his application and the fact I got email with my own UCI and says processing means nothing ? I thought u couldn't link app till AOR? Sorry for the questions but I'm just confused cuz some people are telling me to consider it AOR and it's that not everyone gets the actual email.

I mean , again, i got one as sponsor bit no email for hubby. but yet his app is uploaded and I was able to link It. weird

You absolutely CAN link if it is in system before aor and are lucky enough to do so. Dont over analyze or worry. Youll get the aor.

Oh I'm not worried about not getting AOR. I'm happy I'm seeing something now. I'm just trying to understand why there's more movement on sponsor side than PA. I just got another update sayimg my my app is now processing. I always thought PA got AOR first before anything. just trying to understand where we are at it is all. You're overthinking. You have received AOR... the sponsor and PA both receive their own copies of it since they each get their own UCI number. Sometimes the system is glitchy and you won't receive one or the other.

If you have gotten the AOR to the sponsor, linked the account, and can view it on ECAS, it is not being returned to you and all will proceed as normal.

They have to review the sponsor before reviewing the sponsored. It makes perfect sense. Youre more than overthinking. One thing we learned in this process is nothing makes sense at all lol

Of course it makes perfect sense. I agree. But I've also heard it's done backwards. ugh it's no big deal really . was just curiosity. I posted here to hopefully get a clear yes or no and as u see , i got 2 different answers here too lol
So no, it's not that I'm over thinking anything. It's called being confused cuz so many different opinions ( not just from here)
But oh well ...it is what it is....greatest thing is that they have my app and I now know it's not coming back to me lol
