i have been told by agent that we can only apply for CAIPS through caipsgcms website as they hold licence of it and it costs $ 40.

but i read on this forum that some people had applied for CAIPS through their friends who are either studying in canada or hold PR ...and it costs $5 only..i checked it on the website of cic and it has been clearly mentioned on the website likewise...so i applied for CAIPS through PR holder. But agent was telling that you will not get CAIPS in $5. you must apply through caipsgcms website. Is it true?

That's not true, a person with a PR in Canada, an immigration lawyer, a citizen of Canada, or other legal intermediate agency can request a gcms notes on behalf of the concerned person(s).

Actually from caipsgcms.com there are different packages which the cheapest packages is $15/16CAD

CAIPS notes can be applied by Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or an individual or corporation currently in Canada.

read more about it on official site, one thing is that our agents are uneducated people and they are scammers. even some said to me that most of the college have selected agents, who can only apply for admission, so if i want to apply for example, in X college, i have to find a specific agent like himself and they have like 10+ college. so its in my favor to hire them and pay them like 10000 INR, just for admission file (basically, they will scan all document's and create a pdf. not only that, without cover letter) and extra application fee like 50$ to 150$ each. college i want to apply. so research your self.

they can apply online its easy, but to process government take 30 days, someone told me its same for every one no matter who apply. if you know some one ask them to do, just give consent form thats all and theses notes are same as you can apply from these sites(government provide same info). its similar to Indian "Right to Information Act"(RTI).

you are right bro.. they ask for 10,000 to 12,000 rupees..they often scare us..I had applied for CAIPS through the same link which you have shared here..the cost was only $ 5..thank you for your reply.

Can you please suggest me is there any way to consult with canadian immigration lawyer regarding my student visa application? is there any forum where they are available for live chat etc?
