Need help...proof of funds for spousal

hi everyone,

My spouse would be landing soon in Canada and he’ll be bringing money with him. It is less than $10,000. He will declare the amount at border but does he need proof funds as well for it?

When my wife landed, all they did was ask how much money she had on her. She had $20. They said "great" and that was the only mention of money.

As long as you're not carrying over $10,000 cash then there should be no holdups.

My wife will be landing soon in Canada as Immigrant. I sponsored her under spousal visa and will be coming as Permanent resident( with COPR) . When I landed as immigrant there was a requirement that I has to carry around $12000 shown as proof of funds as single person . So is this applicable to her ? Or is it since I sponsored to her she doesn't have to bring a any funds ? Please advice
