Congratulations! That is ridiculously fast for Mexico VO! I hope this is a good sign that they are working faster LOL. You probably weren't prepared for it to be this fast hey?

We truly can’t believe it ! It seems like some sort of dream still, we were expecting not to hear anything until at least August maybe even later.
We received official AOR2 on the 26 then ppr on May 1st.
I hope this is a sign that Mexico is catching up on its backlog

Which initials were on your PPR email?

Did you get an official letter from Mexico VO for your AOR2, saying they were beginning to process your file?
If so, that is interesting! We got nothing like that, just figured it was being processed when they asked for a medical exam.

Yes my wife got an oficial letter from Mexico Visa Office.

Today my wife got her prearrival letter.

I have a question, i sent my application just a few weeks before my pcc expire for the country of residency am MARCH APPLICANT 2018, i planning to go back to my country of birth and i wanted to know the posibility of mexico vo asking for a new pcc down the line, it will be hard for me to get new pcc and the other country specifications when am not here, i highly appreciate any advice on this issue. Thank you in advance.

Yep, we got a pre arrival message as well, on exactly the same day as the passport request. According to CIC, background check still in progress, so as everyone says, clearly they really don't update that necessarily at the same time.

I'm so amazed at how fast Oct 2017 applicants got their PPR! OMG Congrats to everyone! Good luck to the rest of us! Lol may it be just as fast for us too!

PS. One question: I'm now at 2 months of waiting for our GCMS notes, even despite then putting us as "priority" over two weeks ago. Did you experience this?

From what I understand, you have exactly one year from the date of your medical exam to enter into Canada. For instance, we did ours on December 13, 2017 and so we would have until December 13, 2018 to land in Canada. Our COPR also indicated this date in the letter.
