I received my OWP yesterday but I need to complete medical exam for visitor extension (I have applied also) which is due until next week. Can I just delay the medical exam until I get my health card?

The PP said the $350+ costs from the hospital can be free if I have a health card. I'm just waiting for the paper to apply for a health card.

Pretty sure if you have been granted an OWP you dont need to have a visitor record?, the OWP gives you legal status.

Your post confuses me, did you apply for spousal sponsorship inland?

Yeah, I just submitted a visitor extension just to be sure. But yeah, they requested a medical. Then I got my OWP approval last night.

I would contact them if I were you. Are your sure the medical is not for the sponsorship app?
I don't think they need to? They're getting the medical request like everyone else as part of the spousal process. I think it's unrelated to the visitor extension.

I really doubt the medical has anything to do with the medical extension and there is no way that your medical check would be covered under a provincial health plan. You're going to have to foot the bill yourself regardless.

I got the visitor record and it says on the comments that I have to undergo to a medical within 30 days.
That's weird but whatever medical you do for your visitor record will apply anyway to your spousal sponsorship so I would go ahead and do it right away.

I was more thinking to ask why they processed the visitor extension and the OWP? People have reported here they got refunded for the visitor extension after submitting both to play it safe incase the OWP app was returned.

That’s weird. I guess I can’t get any refund anymore!
