I have a question.
My application went into process on March 27. I just checked on my ecas and the 4 the line say. " We sent you a correspondence on May 1st, plze wait until you receive...." Is this a test invite? I hope not as i didn't even practice the book. I don't think it's a FP request because in the last four yrs I was only away for 154 days.

it could be your name or other information is duplicate to others on their files.

Hey Guys, i am a January applicant. I hope someone can guide me on my issue.

We requested a name change on my wife's citizenship application, basically just changing her surname after our wedding. The instructions on the application only asked for a Marriage Certificate in case only surname is changed after Wedding. We attached a Marriage certificate, but now we received a letter from CIC asking for One piece of ID from Canada with the new Name and foreign passport with the new name. BOTH documents displaying the new name.

We have 60 days to reply, and I have two options.

1. Legally change the name in passport and Drivers License (both have a processing time at least 8 weeks or more)
2. Ask CIC to not do a name change right now.

Do you think they will accept my request to not do a name change right now, or will they ask me to send another application. I tried calling them but was on hold for a very long time, will try again tomorrow.

1. You can get a court order with name change in 2-3 days.
a.Prepare an affidavit requesting the name change (for Citizenship application)
b.Keep Marriage certificate as proof
c. Letter from CIC

Note: Contact Resolution Support Centre at the Courts to get more details

2. Once you get it apply for new drivers license with name change- it usually takes 2 weeks. (if it takes longer ask CIC for extension)

Mail 1 & 2 along with letter from CIC.

I ran into this scenario. But in my case the name change was also done in passport sometime back.
But it should work for you.

Dear all
We received test invite today via email . The test will be in 17 May
kindly update the sheets

Thanks

Hey everybody,

I just wanted to give a big shout out to each and every one of you for holding on and being strong during this tough wait. Your patience levels are off the charts and hopefully you don't have to wait for too long for your next step (whether its IP, test invitation or oath ceremony, etc). When the days are long and you feel a bit frustrated at times about the whole process, I want you to remember that it'll be worth the wait in the end and that you'll be happiest person on the planet when it is all over. Just HOLD ON to that amazing feeling!

May the Angels bless your path every day & every night! :)

Cheers
Kal

Does London Office take forever to process applications?

I got "We started processing your application" on January 11, 2018 and Fingerprints request on on February 7, 2018. However, no invitation to take the test yet. Is it normal? Is anyone else from London here facing the same? Thanks!

Guys, my wife application was launched on January 2018. Let’s call her Ms. Aakash28.

Application Sent on 11th January
Received on 16th January
AOR on February 20th
In Process March 21st
Test Invite - Waiting
Office: Scarborough

Please update the tracker and also please send the links once again.

I have a situation. My application was sent back to me in January and I had sent it back on January 18th. AOR received on Feb 23rd.
But my status still says only AOR . I have few questions.
1. Is there anyone who applied in January still does not say in process?
2. Also is the invite to test a snail mail or email?

Also can you please add me to the sheet as well? Thanks guys.

Yes our application took more than two months to change from AOR to IP. But there are applicants from Nov/ Dec who received IP in Feb and still waiting. So the files are moving slowly for sure

As you sent your application in Nov you would want to post your details in Nov thread

Also you will receive all updates in ECAS as application processing progresses
