IMMIGRATION Medical VISA OFFICER or Medical Panel Physician access to Provincial health care data ?

Hi everyone,

A quick query- Does "IMMIGRATION Medical VISA OFFICER" or "Immigration Medical Panel Physician" have access to the personal health records of an individual in PROVINCIAL Healthcare database; like my personal medical records information available in Provincial Healthcare database

I have undergone some medical tests in Canada (i.e. in the province where i am residing) as per the advise from my family doctor, and i am not sure whether i have to disclose this information to the Panel Physician during Immigration medical exam (for EE). I am little worried that, i might be open for vulnerability, if they start looking into details and delay my profile or asks me take more additional tests from a specialist (which might cost me a lot personally). if someone has any personal experience in this matter, request you to please share the details on how this would go!!
My point of view is - If the Panel Physician doctor/ Medical Visa Officer has a doubt, he/ she would definitely send me for additional review; and in that case, the additional cost burden is unavoidable.
Please help me in this case. i have a medical exam appointment scheduled for tomorrow.

Do as you are told. Disclose whatever information that you are asked to. Nothing less nothing more. Don't lie, don't hide anything. It's as simple as that. Don't get paranoid and if you have to bite the bullet, so be it. Pay the price, so did most of us, one way or another. Don't try to outsmart the system only because it will cost you money! For all I know it could be beneficial to your self being! After all you will become a permanent resident of Canada and one day a citizen. And you want to start your new life with honesty and nothing else.

No problem. No why would they do that? The processing fee needs to be paid before they start looking into your application. Just so you know doing an upfront medical does not mean they won't ask for further medical examinations down the line while your application gets into process.

here is a thread where the applicant mentioned- he did not submit his EE application post ITA; in the sense- he did not submit the documents and did not pay the processing fees.

As mentioned by the applicant (in above thread), he received a request for re-taking some medical tests with the Panel Physician; and i am assuming they already started processing his immigration medical exam results even before he paid his application processing fees.
Am i wrong with the details interpretation ?

Also during my work permit application in Sep 2015 (thru my employer), i have provided pre-medical exam for immigration. and even before my application was submitted to CIC. I have also received a request to redo my X-ray and blood reports.
So i am assuming, CIC/ IRCC would start processing of the medical exam results as soon as you are done with the medical exam, irrespective of the fees being paid by the applicant (for any type of immigration file processing). Just trying to understand the details and the TAT for my application processing.

I would suggest Dr Colin Saldanha in Mississauga (Suite 107 - 550 Matheson Blvd. West, Mississauga), he is very kind and experienced in the medical field.

I have done my tests on May 2nd 2018 @ 9:30 AM. At first, i filled in the medical exam application forms in 10 minutes, and later completed my tests and appointment with Dr. Saldanha. Overall, it took me an hour in the clinic (including waiting time). The chest x-ray, i have to get it done at Credit valley hospital, drove there in 15 minutes and completed it quickly in 5 minutes (negligible waiting time).

Following is what i paid (in CAD) for the PR application IME -
At Clinic (Debit or cash only) - 160 (normal immigration medical checkup fees) + 20 (additional creatine test, needed in my case)
At Credit valley hospital (Credit/ Debit/ Cash) - 45 (for chest x-ray)

If you require medical results report - You have to pay additional 20 CAD (consists of only the medical results of the tests done, and does not include any comments or doctor notes for the immigration medical officer)
I would suggest, not to order the additional - Lab reports unless you require them or need them for future reference. Let me know if you need any info

In my opinion, choose a doctor close to your residency, so that you would not have to spend extra efforts visiting the physician, in case additional tests/ review is needed after initial IME. You never know, what will the Immigration medical officer be looking for in your medical reports; and his opinion of the same.

As I mentioned earlier in my responses, i was asked for an additional xray, creatinine test and nothing more (as I can remember). As others have mentioned on this forum - be truthful, and provide all requested/ relevant information (nothing less and more)
All went well in my case and the Medical Visa Officer did not request for additional review/ tests.
