HELP - I think I threw my application away

Guys, please help me, I'm kind freaking out right now.

I had an application since December 18th, 2017. It had 416 points, and I'm supposed to go up to 441 in May, which's right where the draws are. So I opened up my account to check everything, and I realized my NOC number didn't reflect my current job description (my actual job didn't change, it just changed name to better describe what I do). So, I opened the work history tab and re-submitted my work experience to the new NOC. I don't know what happened next, I guess I forgot to change the work intention tab also to this new NOC, but when I checked back my application was marked as ineligible! I'm sure if I did a new one I would get my points back, but I didn't want to lose that application submition date for tie-break reasons. What should I do??

Tie breaking is dependent on the profile creation date not profile change date. Don’t worry

That's not the problem tho, my application was literally rejected this time! Are you saying that if I do a new one from scratch using the same account, the tie-break rule would still count for the day I created my account? Because I cannot fix it back, once it's rejected I gotta create a new one.

Sorry to hear that but as far as i know it doesnt matter when you create your account only thing that matters is when the profiile was submitted.. If i were you i would create a new profile and at the same time try calling CIC to see if they can do anything about it. That way you wont miss next one atleast. GL.

I'm thinking about submitting a new one right away, but do you think that could make it harder for me to get my old application back? Their call center isn't open until Monday morning. I'm so afraid I'm gonna lose a draw because of the tie-break now. I don't know what I'm gonna do if that happens. I'm on the verge of tears here.

Also, the only thing I did was changing my Work History NOC, without changing my Occupation NOC at the same time. Would that be enough to render me ineligible? Or am i overlooking something?

Yes the occupation code and your work experience noc code should match.

So I guess it was my fault. Should I just submit it again and live with my mistake? What are the chances they'll be able to retrieve my old application back.

I dont know about that part..friend of mine did exactly like you did..he just applied with a new profile.. GL bud

I did that, and it was accepted this time so yeah, the NOC mismatch was the mistake all along. I've also submitted an enquiry on IRCC's web form and will call them Monday to see if there's anything that can be done. Thank you for your help.

Yes, we did the same unfortunately for our application created in September... Now a new one as of April 14th.. Im really hopeful that our points will be sufficient for that not to be an issue. Waiting for IELTS results on May 4th.
