In my mind, with paper based applications, they need time to digitalized our information. Then after finishing, investigations will be sent for conducting with a due date for input the results. The process repeats with other coming applications. At the due date, if any application can gather enough information, then it will be move to next stages. While other must be put on other due date because it is hard to get all information on time at that due date. That might be why there is some different I think!

Let’s all wait on the changes. But this is a good sign that they are starting to work on our applications. Hopefully all of us will get an update very soon.

Hi, Yeah I noticed that the background check has changed from
"Background check Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check"

to THIS!!!!....

"Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."

I'm hoping that this is not a system glitch again.
But in terms of eligibility, they have not started yet.
No changes in my ecas.

They will change eligibility passed when decision was made, eligibility and criminality update same date, if you withdraw GCMS note you may find that it passed but GCkey / e-cas they will changed when every thing will finish

I think ecas changes only when all are finalized and decision is made. Now it's still In Process and the update is via gckey only.
