you dont have to renew your PR for test unless you are travelling out of the country before and after the exam. you have to provide ID before you take the test just to verify if it is you are the same person. If you have drivers license bring it with you too.Monmon24 said: ↑
Hi anybody knows .. I applied with my PR as an ID and now my PR is about to expire can it still be used as an ID in the test ? or I have to apply for new one since a new one will take few months to arrive ..?
No one here to reply?
Hi everyone
I am really confused with the situation I have faced with my citizenship application. Can you give me some hints for what I can do?
I submitted my application about a month ago, with more than 1150 days of physical presence credit. About 275 days of my credit was accumulated during about 550 days I was in Canada as a visitor, waiting for my PR application to be processed by CIC (I was being sponsored by my husband, who was a PR living in Canada at the time).
Today, I received a mail from CPC Sydney with a cover letter and my entire application package. The letter indicates that "based on the review of the information provided by you, and verification of your time in Canada prior to becoming a permanent resident, we have determined that you were not physically present in Canada for the minimum 1095 days. This discrepancy can occur for a number of reasons, however, most of the time this is due to an error in physical presence calculation. In your particular case, some or all of the time reported on the calculator (prior to Permanent Resident date) could not be verified in our records."
In my application package, I had sent them the copies of all of my flight itineraries as well as the passport stamps for every single time I have left and returned back to Canada. I even have Canada border's stamp for every entry I had during my pre-PR period. I think it is likely that they have missed one or more entry records in their database. What do you think I can do to let them know that the fault is not on me?
Any advice would be really appreciated.
Days as a Visitor do count as you were on temporary resident visa. Just make sure if you have counted visiting days in physical presence that should be within last 5 years. Anything before that is not counted.Days as a visitor do not count towards physical presence. It is only time spent here on a working visa that can be counted as 0.5 day prior to PR.
HI Looking at your situation you said that u stayed 550 days on VISITOR visa. thats is 1.5 years as visitor. also this cannot be straight days as you might have to go back after 6 months.Hi everyone

Congrats, updated the sheetFinally got decision made today in ecas. Can someone please update my status
What do you mean by extensive travel history? I have had at least 15 trips with 130 days spent outside Canada. Is that extensive? Can someone please update my timeline:
ID: Zach
Location: Hamilton (currently incorrectly listed as Toronto)
App Type: Single
Physical Presence: 1497
Took a LONG time between the test date and the decision made date. I'm assuming its due to extensive travel history.

1. You can't make it earlier.guys, I was notified to appear and write the citizenship test on May 23, 2018 at 7:45 AM. two questions:
Is it possible to call and make it earlier?
if the test is at 745 am, when should I expect to be done? I am wondering if I should take the whole day off.
(I sent my application on Oct 11, 2017)
Thanks in advance
You should rephrase to "Dear new Canadian citizens" . Being a "senior"(if there is such a thing) in this forum doesn't mean that you are actually a citizen and if you are you might got your citizenship before the 150 celebration(2017)Dear seniors.
I want to know for all those people whom recieved citizenship certificate. does the certificate have CANADA 150 logo?
I am curious because I like this logo.
Thank you dear sirs.
