Others can comment but might be a hard sell to get a study permit after an MBA to sign up for a PG course in Global Business Management. Not saying is impossible as is not my area but you would need to justify how attending a GBM course post MBA would enhance your MBA and prospects in your home country. Getting accepted in a college program is the easy part given colleges want the international student revenue it is to be able to persuade immigration that can be the challenge.

I am just confused about something. Canadian government has made it easier than ever for students to enter Canada, finish studies and then apply for PR. They are doing this because they need people there. In that case why do they question the validity of the course? Isn't it given that the candidate has the intention of applying for PR before going there? I am not criticizing them but just wanted to know where they were coming from.

So what criteria would you use for a study permit approval then ? Would you approve an MBA applying for a post grad diploma in cookery or hospitality ? There has to be some selection criteria same as there is for all the other immigration programs else the system would be overwhelmed with applicants . Canada needs people but the right people, with qualifications and career aspirations based on the qualifications that make sense.

Yes that explains it. They have more candidates than they require so they need to filter out some.
