I got a request to pay the RPRF on August 25th and I immediately started searching through this forum (quite the task!) to see if any members got rejected after being asked to pay this fee, I searched for EE applicants specifically.
I could not find any, although I may have missed one or two threads as there are just so many! As the request letter says, there are still some clearance processes ongoing with our applications but in all honesty I think it would be odd to be asked to pay it just to be rejected and refunded later. The two members that were rejected after DM had pay the fee in advanced when they submitted their application so it is hard to guess whether CIC would have asked them for it regardless and then reject them or not.

I am trying to stay positive though, and I have a feeling that this week is the week for many of us to see further movement in our application :).
Those who were requested to pay the RPRF in August please let's keep each other updated on how our applications evolve.

All the best!!
Me and my husband were asked to pay RPRF on 13th August (paid immediately) and have not heard anything since. The security check status is still sat at "not started".
I am a little worried about rejection, but overall I think you're correct in thinking that CIC aren't going to deem you eligible without having essentially completed the checks, and there is two of us so we always thought it would take longer than for a single applicant.
What I'm worrying about now (probably needlessly!) is whether I got the dates correct for our trips out of the UK in the last 10 years, and whether the fact I have a poor credit rating will matter (note that I'm not the main applicant, I am the "spouse" and my husband has a far better financial record and memory than me!)

Be sure to update me when you hear any more news!

No worries about credit - they don't even check that other than through your submitted bank statements. As for the trips - my partner is from Slovakia, and I lived there for the 10 years before we came to Canada. Trying to remember exactly when one or both of us crossed borders in Europe was a real headache! We decided to put in a few representative trips to Austria - we lived in Bratislava, an hour from Vienna, and went there several times a year for shopping, concerts, or the airport - and then tried hard to remember longer trips and enter them as best we could. Of course, we entered all trips for which we had stamps in our passports, and we consulted our calendars to find others. We did our best, but could not swear we had been complete or entirely accurate on dates. We got through, and now that you have been asked for RPRF, so will you. Congratulations!

Thats reassuring, thank you!
Yes, remembering every time you've travelled out of the country was a massive headache!
I wonder why it's taking so long for us to hear though? It's been about 5 weeks since RPRF. Fingers crossed for an answer soon.

that would be odd, innit, considering the dependent's application hinges on the PA's?

I am totally confused . The letter was sent to my consultant from NDVO last week and they have given us 30 days for depositing payment

I dont think dependent application can create trouble for PA . Neither they have written anything about PA 's requirement or some conditions in the same letter
. I have already sent an email to them but no reply yet :(

Hey, has the dependent received their RPRF request too ? I'm in a similar situation.
