Although i must inform SOP is never same for everyone. I had gap of 3 years and my SOP is mostly explaining that gap.

To write a good sop, you first start stating that this letter is an explanation as to why you want to study in Canada and vow to speak the truth.
Then state your education history and explain which subject you liked and what your initial aim was. Then state that you thought of ur career and began looking into different universities in different countries and ur home country. Then state you found that the university in canada had the perfect degree and courses available to help you achieve your aim. Boast about some good features of the university such as ECA or co op of faculty and tuition fee. Explain then what you plan to do with the degree in order to acheive your aim and shape your career. Then explain them how you have no intention of settling in canada. Say if the opportunity arrises you will think about it but for now your plan is to return to your home country and build your career. Then state anything you want to explain the VO. For example any gap or misspelled name in transcriptss or passport. Then conclude in a formal manner.

Where did you apply from because the process was so fast

The process was actually slow. I am Bangladeshi but applied from Jeddah VFS and my file was processed in Riyadh canadian embassy.
The processing time here was 3 weeks but it took 30 days. The time to transfer from Jeddah to Riyadh was 1 day only.

Paper based is better than online if your documentation was well. Online confuses alot of people. For example i applied paper based Application. The checklist asked me to provide my school transcripts and IELTS grades. However my friend who applied online didn't get such an option and was rejected because of not providing transcripts. What i am saying is apply paper based and seek the advice of an expert and find out what all documents are essential. For example for my paper application i sent:-

Application for study permit form
Family information form
Background declaration form
A copy of the bio page of the passport
My residence permit copy (i didnt apply from my home country)
My IGCSE, Alevel and IELTs results
Fathers bank statement, letter from his stating he will sponsor me and his employment letter
Fixed deposit (not necessary i just gave to make my application strong)
And lastly the SOP (This letter should state what your education history is. And then what ur aim is. And why u chose canada and how ur course will help u achieve ur aim and then stating that u have no intention of staying in canada aftee ur education is over)

Have these documents printed and submit them through a VAC and just link the application online.

If your class starts more than 5 months away, you can do paper based through VFS. Mine was online and it takes 1 week to proccess since visa officers dont need to scan those original documents. (Location: South Korea- but the embassy is at manila, Philippines). My agent checked my documents and some of those were omitted since you dont want the visa officers to be confused with your docs and they have to deal with thousand applicants.

Thanks for your response. My classes will commence in September and I am still gathering my document at the moment. I plan to apply first week in May, which is just four months away from September. Perhaps I should make it online. So when did you get your visa?
