Did you link your application to cic? You’ll get immediate updates. VFS updates is slow.

It’s very straight forward.. Go to cic.gc.ca and follow the instructions.. Click on check application status and carry on.. Be careful while entering details. It has to be exactly what you filled in your forms if your application was paper based..
