Is it mandatory to have a bar council registration to use NOC 4112 - Lawyers and Quebec Notaries?

I was working in corporate law where there was no such requirement hence I never got it done.

Please help.

If you want to work as a lawyer then,

• Licensing by the provincial or territorial law society is required.

If you want to work as a notary then,

• Registration with the Corporation of Notaries is required.

Thanks, but I was asking just for the immigration purpose. I do not have a bar council registration of India as it was not manadatory for me to have one. I have worked for international companies. I don't want a job in Canada as a lawyer. I just wish to ask for my immigration application. Can I use this code?

You can apply however you will have to apply for following:

• Licensing by the provincial or territorial law society is required.
