VFS India will not accept the passports of your family members if they have not received passport request letters.

Your processed passport with the visa will be returned well before your flight to the US. I would include copies of the confirmed flights + a letter requesting for expedited visa stamping when you submit your passport to VFS Delhi.

I wouldn't risk submitting the passport in the US because it is a bit complicated, not a straightforward process like it is for VFS India. BTW you must submit your passport to the nearest VFS, not necessarily to VFS Delhi

Good news....Today I have received approval for rest of my family members......I am planning to submit passports on Tuesday as I have an unavoidable situation on Monday. I will travel to Ahmedabad VFS center and submit my passports there.....
I hope they return back in time before 25-26thApril as my flight for US is on 1st-May from Delhi......

Can you please help me with the expedition letter you mentioned above....how shall I draft it. I will be highly thankful to you for this gesture.....

You must also factor in at least two days for courier depending on whether Blue Dart provides Next Day service to the city/town where you reside. Otherwise you can opt to collect the stamped passports from VFS.

You will need authorization letters from each applicant..... Typed letters on plain paper authorizing you to submit/collect each passport on their behalf + the passport request letters for each applicant + VFS consent letters signed by each applicant (can be downloaded from the VFS site), etc

I have submitted my passports yesterday at VFS ahmedabad office......

Today i checked their tracker and it says it has gone for Bangalore for processing.............I don't know at what speed they will process it.

I originally thought it will go to Delhi Office.......

Now if it can be processed at different office of embassy (contrary to where I applied online),,.........I am quite hopeful that even if I had submitted in VAC in USA (For stamping etc.) it would have got stamped.....what is your Opinion @Bryanna.

I think by next Tuesday you shall expect approval for all applications for Canada.......

But I need to leave from my home by 30th-April morning to catch a flight on 1st.......My other bigger problem is my flight is not refundable.....

Visa stamping in the US is a *risky* idea if one misunderstands the process. It is complicated to say the least + takes longer than stamping in India. You've done the right thing by submitting the passports to VFS Ahmedabad.

Speed = Blue Dart/FedEx = Bangalore visa office will receive the passports tomorrow.... then factor in max. 4-5 business days for visa stamping.... then courier back to VFS Ahmedabad/your residence (another 1-2 business days)

If you submit your passports today, you will most likely receive them by 20th-23rd, worse case by 26-27. But no one knows for sure. These speculations are true for most of the people.

Also, it depends upon VO to VO, My speculations are based on New Delhi here.

I have been checking VFS portal and it says processing at Bangalore office....

While CIC account has no information on receipt of passports yet.......Again @Bryanna.......I am sorry I am pushing you so much.....but believe me it is really shear eagerness and fear inside.....nervousness.

Don't worry about this. It does not mean anything except your TRVs have been approved i.e. this is the final stage/final approval which happens only after passports have been received by the visa office.

But no tracking ID shared by CIC and VFS also for courier partner (to track where exactly the shipment is as of now). Below is what is exactly written in VFS portal for tracking ...

Visa application, tracking ID No.******************** – Passport has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, on 20/04/2018 vide courier partner. To track the status of the shipment, please visit courier partner website.

The tracking ID shared by VFS is 20 digits to which bluedart tracker says no data when I punch this number in reference number for tracking.

Passports of all family members arrived home Just 10 mins back.

Final time lines:
Online applications submitted 7th-April
Got acknowledgement same day....
Got request to send copy of passports on 8th-April
Sent copy of passport on 10th-April...
My approval and PPR came on 11th-April.
Family approval and PPR came on 15th-April
Submitted passports @ VFS Ahmedabad on 17th-April
CVAC Bangalore received passports on 18th-April (info source VFS tracker)
CVAC dispatched stamped passports on 20th-April ....real quickie here by CVAC (although the time frame shared by portal is 18days).......(info source VFS tracker)
Received passports at home address on 21st-April ((with stamping date of 19th-April)).....
However VFS tracker still says it is courier....means not updated real time

Whole process completed in 15 calendar days........Huge relief.......

Wish same speed for every hopeful person seeing this forum.....who is coming here to search for his/her answers.........
I know it is easy to say like that when you have completed a task ...but i really feel empathy for everyone out there who is having a nail biting experience.....
