Mississauga Citizenship Ceremoney cancelled for Apr 17th

Hi got a call this morning saying the Citizenship Ceremony I will be attending today is cancelled due to flooding.. Anyone else got the same call?

I had my exam scheduled for tomorrow. I received a call from No Caller ID stating that exam cancelled. we will be receiving the rescheduled date later.

The lady said she would leave a note on my file so that I could call the contact center and verify the information. But of course the contact center is not accepting any calls due to the high volume. It would be great if someone who has been there in-person could tell us if the flooding new is true.

Thanks for the update Grace. Let's hope the dates aren't many weeks out so that we can still keep our travel in May. Even paying for the urgent next-day passport fee would be cheaper than my cancellations at this point.

I got the same call today about cancelling citizenship test tomorrow April 18
I called their contact center and they confirmed the unfortunate incident
I have been waiting for this test for 16 months. So frustrated

There is no short of surprises in the citizenship journey. Now the lady who called to cancel the test did say the applicants who got their tests cancelled will get priority in rescheduling. May be all 17,18th Apr people will get two consecutive days in about two weeks time.

She said they will prioritize people who got cancelled not sure how it will translate.
