Hello friends,

Is the gross income, the total earnings of that period ???

If my yearly income is 90K then do I need to add all the 3 years and write the total of year1 + year2 + year3 = Gross income.

Worked for Company1 for 30 months = should I write the total earned for 30 months here??
worked for Company2 for 6 months = should I write the total earned for 6 months here??

Please advise.

Thanks.

As I stated in the PGP 2020 post, on top of the inline description, use the GUIDE. There are additional information in the 5772 Guide page:
Scroll down to "Financial Evaluation for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship (IMM 5768)" of section 2 of the instruction guide and follow the instruction question by question.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-5772-application-sponsor-parents-grandparents.html#completeApplication

Copied from the guide:
"Question 14
Provide your employment history, including periods of unemployment, for the last THREE consecutive taxation years preceding your application. Make sure that you do not leave any gaps in time. If you have additional employment history from the end of the last taxation year up until the present, include that as well. Record your total gross income for each period of employment."

If you did not change job, I think you will enter each year's income seperately. If you change job more often, you may need to figure out how much income you get from each job within the same tax year.

Thanks for the reply, it so confuse. I read the guide but it's not explaining the question written down

during this 3 last years I have 3 three employees, still working with 2 of them

I put my employment history , but in the Gross Income/Benefit for Period I don't know how should I complete it
ex: employer 1 2018$+2019$+2020$ = $$$ (total of the 3 years together) or separated 2018=$, 2019=$ 2020=$ even though we don't have our 2020 made yet .

I will appreciate any help.

I see this hasn't been answered yet, and I also need to know.

The period I worked at my job is from Jan 2017 until present. I made X dollars in that time. It sounds like they want me to write the combined amount as one number. Correct?

If so, then today being Sept 30th, do I include only half of 2017's income? Do I simply add up the Gross income at the top of each year's T4? I feel this question is very vaguely worded.

Please help! I really want to help my Parents-in-Law.

My two cents.
  1. Collect all the T4s that you received on year 2018, 2019, 2020. For 2021, use the recent payslip(payslips if you are working with >1 employers). You T4 has gross income for corresponding employer and year. Somewhere in your payslip, gross income received so far should be mentioned;
  2. Chronologically, in each row of the table, record each period and income listed in T4/payslip, i.e., one row for one T4/payslip.
  3. For the family size for the given row would be, 1 (you) + 1 (your partner, if applicable) + x (any of your or partners’ kids born on or before the corresponding year)+1/2 (parent/s) + y (number of dependent kids of both of your parents, i.e., your siblings, half-siblings, e.t.c)
This is my opinion based the guide. Also, I will do like this if my partner gets invitation to sponsor my in-laws

Thank you. This guidance was helpful. I have a quick question. In case of self employed, what source should we use to show gross income?

Hi

If suppose I do one job from Sept 2021 to March 2022- I will enter it as one job or two different entries and pay per tax year?
