The delay can't be higher. We wait 30 months. The MP office told me that we must be in Canada when we receive a request for PPR, but that makes no sense. I'm not a prisoner. We didn't go home for 3 years, waiting for PR. I can't any more.
Almost there! Im in 30month too. See my friend its a matter of a month or two atmost now. If your family leaves now it will get stretched.be patient. This is my advice to you!

Yes, but it depends arent they supposed to be inbound? Means they cannot travel if they are inbound applicants.they have to stay and wait till they get ppr. You are lucky at least ur still with family. My wife and i have been separated since 2.5years of our marriage now.its getting really hard.
Yes, that true, they are inbound applicants. Thanks

We will wait until June. My daughter will finish high school in June. We can't lose another summer waiting. We can't plan the future, we can't travel, we do not have a normal life. This is not what we thought when we decided to move to Canada. Horrible.
Thanks Samzzk

Hi Ambro, Just wait patiently you know you have been waiting for so long. You know the problem is that if you go out to other countries they might request other materials like a new medical examination or no criminal record which will make your waiting even longer. As Samzzk said, at least your family members are with you to support you.

hi all,

I was following this page for a long time and I know how much frustrated you are. it was the same for me.

I am Aug2015 applicant and I just got my PPR after 32 months. I signed up here just to post and give you hope that this frustration will be over.
my experience is that always think there is at least 1 more year to get your PR. even if you are on 30th month. plan your life based on this assumption. if you need to apply for extension, do it ontime and do not hold because of $200 application fee. because when you apply for the extension, you do not think about it any more and this has more value than $200.
FYI, I applied for work permit extension just 1 week before getting the PPR email. but I do not regret it.

calling MPs and CIC every week is not helping you at all. as long as you know your application is not berried by mistake, then it is fine. maybe once every 4-6 month does not hurt. but thinking more about it everyday, just bring anxiety and depression to your life and family. forget about PR as much as you can and pay attention to your life, work and family. I know all of these are very much dependent to your status, but I have been there for 7 years since I came to Canada as student and I know that there is room for a lot of work on yourself to reach peace in your daily life.

just to give you some updates,
I sent my CV on December 2016 and my medical extended automatically on first expiry date. I have my wife in my application as dependent as well. my status for document needed changed to blank like many of you about 1.5 month ago and 2 days ago I realized it came back to "we are reviewing the docs we received" and after 2 days I got the PPR Email.

there is a huge movement by my Iranian friends who stuck in this background check for long time and the media started to pay attention to these cases. this is a good sign because what you can do with media, you cannot do with the best lawyer in Canada. here are some tweets that you find them interesting . if you have twitter, start hitting these people and these hashtags to be heard more.

wish you all get your PR soon . do not forget these years and keep helping new immigrants even if you passed the bridge.

Cheers.
M

Ok guys, i think my waiting time is longer than anyone of you here as I submitted my paper application in September 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!! So long that i couldn't even find a thread here for ppl applied the same time. It's 935 days as of today.

I did everything I can, trying to push it forward, but all went in vain. Myself and MP on my behalf, have contacted IRCC many times. Every time it's just the same bullshit as you all know. After one year's background check by CBSA, my status finally changed to "we are processing your background check" last month. IRCC agent said yesterday that they're verifying my security check. Don't know what that means. Not sure when or whether if the PPR will come. But I don't care anymore, after the looooooog painful frustrating wait. I was thinking of hiring a lawyer to apply for the writ of mandamus. Now i just decide not to give a shit anymore.

As an International student who did my MBA in Canada, i'm working as a banker in the one of the big five banks here. no criminal records anywhere, no visit to any other countries before coming to Canada, no terrorist activities or involvement, no family no anything. Still they put me through all these. I'm not even applying for the BOWP. If they give my PR before the expiry of my work permit, which is in early July this year, i'll take it. Otherwise I'll just go back to my own country. I'm sure I'll find a very good job back there and live a good life too. I didn't come here for all these pain and torture. I already lost my enthusiasm and hope after the process. Let them embrace ppl they let in easily. I guess we're not welcome here.

Instead of spending the time pitting and upsetting myself, i now focus on job hunting in my own country. At least I don't feel depressed or going crazy anymore.

Don't give up buddy, I am doing whatever I want like I am a PR. May I ask are you an investment banker? which MBA did you go to?
