Are you from India or Pakistan?

Every first time applicant can only apply once under the SPP, its best applying under SPP until something unfortunate happens before considering applying under non SPP

Had 4 years gap , covered it with employment , visa granted .

The main point is to show what you did in the gap like @Johnsnow 007 mentioned .

Having 6 years of gap after studies is not a big deal as long as you can justify it by showing experience letter etc. I was having 5 years of Gap after my bachelors and still I got visa albeit in 2nd attempt. You have to be very careful about your SOP. Because they do read it and please don't apply under spp. For any further info. u may contact me on 9523425919

Work experience.. they don't have any problem with gap if it's well explained.. they get uneasy if you have any vaguely explained/unexplained gap because who knows what you might be doing during that period.. were you studying HTML or affiliating with some terrorist organisation?... they don't know! So explain your gap well with hard evidence and you should be fine!
