Better university for MBA between Univ of Regina and Lakehead

I would pick Regina but but are probably considered to be in a similar category in terms of ranking. Both are relatively small cities but the economy is better in Saskatchewan. Canadian MBA programs are pretty demanding and time consuming so not sure how much time you will have to work. Would guess work opportunities might be better in Regina but you are looking at similar service sector jobs in both locations.
Neither would be considered top tier universities. Thunder Bay is in northern Ontario where there isn't a ton of business development. Saskatchewan as a province has a younger population and a better economy. Neither of these places are business centres. Surprised to hear Regina has the highest crime rate. Maybe per capita. Wouldn't really be concerned unless you are involved in selling drugs or have addiction issues. I would actually think the crime profile and vulnerable individuals have a very similar profile in both cities. These are pretty small cities. Thunder Bay has a population of 100k and Regina is close to 250k.
Based on my opinion Lakehead is a better program academically than UoR, but its in a small town. Lakehead is an AACSB MBA so if not now least in a few years it will become a top program. If your accreditation crazy, lakehead wins hands down. Also AACSB any day better than a normal MBA, that said jobs are very less in TBay but if you move out of TBay an AACSB MBA will have more value than a normal program.
The crime rates are similar in TBay and Regina. But they happen only in certain areas, if you live on campus or avoid renting houses in certain areas you'll be safe.
Lastly, Lakehead is a 1yr program, you'll be lucky to get a pgwp for more than 1 year. UoR you'll get a minimum 2yr pgwp. These are some of the pros and cons. As a business student you have to weigh in your options and decide which risk is worth taking.

There is very less but i doubt you'll have the time for a part time job. the 1 year program is very intensive and i doubt you'll find time for a job. There are no internships also so you should not depend on part time jobs to cover your costs.
