My wife has a work permit

I am an American citizen and my wife is a Filipino citizen. She will be coming to Canada in July to work and has a sponsoring family. How do I go about joining her there and when is it possible?
Can I pursue dual citizenship or permanent residency?

Is she going to be working as a caregiver? If not, what will her occupation be in Canada?

She doesn't have any desire to live in the USA and after three years she can get PR status and obtain her RN degree much cheaper and quicker than almost anywhere. I have a pension so work for me is not as critical.
Plus. we both desire to live in Canada!! LOL

If she has applied for the caregiver program the current program will be expired by the time she has done 2 years so she should be looking at what changes are made to the program as far as granting PR.

Actually, she is going there via a sponsorship. She has worked several years as a dental assistant and has a certification as a caregiver. So she will not be going through an agency.
