Hi All,
Me and my family (spouse & daughter) have been on non-immigrant visa in USA for past 4 years and have come down for 2 months vacation.
As I am planning to apply for express entry (yet to submit my profile for the draw).
I'd like to get some things clarified regarding PCC(USA)
1) Can I apply for Police clearance certificate for me and my family prior to submitting my profile ?
2) Will it be ok , if I travel to US after applying the PCC from India (since I am on vacation)
3) I am not clear , how can I submit /get my finger prints in India ?

Any additional information will be very helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Victor

Hi.

1.Yes you can but don't forget it needs to have a 1 year validity so it all depends when you get the ITA and when you can get all the other documents ready for submission.
2. I don't see why not. What is your concern. Traveling and applying for PCC are two different things.
3. Sorry can't answer that. Someone from India should be able to help you.

Good luck.

Thank you Adrlim for your prompt response.
My confusion was if I apply for the PCC from India will it nullify the document since my travel to US will create a new arrival entry in thier system (i94 - travel history)

I had read in some other blog that I have to reapply for PCC if I travel to US after applying for PCC outside US, is it true?

It would definitely be best to apply for it once you have left the country and not return to it to avoid any confusion. So that is why usually you time it after you get your ITA. Once you have submitted your documents you are free to travel and not worry anymore about the application or getting PCCs of other countries you want to travel to. Hope this helps.
