Hi,

My parents(holding Indian Passport) visitor visa to Canada(multiple entry 10 yr) got approved. I want to apply for US visitor visa as well for them. My question is
1)Can they have two visitor visa stamping on their passport? Both Canada and US multiple entry 10 yrs
2)Do I need to apply from India?
3)Can I apply from Canada when they come over here?
4)Will there not be any problem in the port of entry if they have two visitor visa stampings on their passports.

I am a PR holder. I have few family cousins in the US planning to visit their place with my parents when they come to Canada.

Canada and the US are two different countries. If approved, your parents' US B1/B2 visas would be for 10 years (unlike the validity of a Canadian TRV which varies depending on a number of factors)

2)Do I need to apply from India?

It is best to apply for their US visas when they are in India

3)Can I apply from Canada when they come over here?

Their ties to India would seem stronger if they apply when they are in India + they need to attend the interview.

4)Will there not be any problem in the port of entry if they have two visitor visa stampings on their passports.

Again, Canada and the US are two different countries = Two separate visas are required

Few consultants confused me today morning saying that two visitor visa stamping might not be possible on the passport. They mentioned they can have one 10year multiple entry visa and other can be a tourist visa with single entry below 6 months.

The consultants don't know the basics.

If approved for US B1/B2 visas, your parents will be issued flat 10-year, multiple-entry visas because your parents hold Indian passports. It does not matter when their passports will expire.

You're probably confusing this entire matter with their *visitor status* in Canada. Your parents' TRVs only allow them to board the flight to Canada. When they arrive at the POE, their entry will be assessed by a visa officer and the max. they can be allowed to stay in Canada is for 6 months (if they don't extend their stay). This is *visitor status*
