Hi
I am trying to figure out the correct way to get an FBI Police certificate while living in the US as a non-permanent resident.

As per www.canada.ca, everything needs to be done by a paper application - and I have seen very long processing times.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/medical-police/police-certificates/how/united-states.html

As per the FBI Website, (https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks) Identity History Summary Checks can be submitted electronically and we can get the results in 3-5 business days + mailing time.

So is it OK to use the electronic submission process and then get the report via postal mail or will Canada.ca have issues accepting it.

Thanks

Yes, the started the eDO process recently and Canada may not have updated their information. Go for electronic process.
