Got our approval for sponsorship today! Also does anyone know what the purpose of ECAS is and why it exists as well as having a linked application with GCKey? I've checked it but it all seems a bit pointless to me other than updates I've already seen in GCKey or received by email.

Btw, I would like to ask for some help. I received the AOR today and trying to link my application to my husband's account information (Sponsor) which we used for paying our fees. is this also the one we should use in linking our application?

You can use that but I don't think it matters as I don't think they'll be able to track what you used to pay anyway. I just created a new GCKey and used that since my partner didn't have a sign in partner. I've heard of people making multiple new GCKeys if they were having issues with linking so I wouldn't worry.

I just checked my application status using the online tool and it says "Decision made" for Sponsorship application status.
My question is how do I get more details as to what this decision is? Please note I filed through a lawyer and therefore I cant link my application as he is the representative.

Hi, can someone with permission add me to the spreadsheet: Application received on February 22nd at Mississauga. PA VO will be the New Delhi office.

It seems the others received their AOR1 on average 41 days since application was received; today makes 41 days exact to my received date. Fingers crossed that we get it soon - I honestly don't care if it takes an extra week or so as long as it does not get returned for whatever reason.

Application Received: Feb 19th, 2018
AOR1: April 4th, 2018

I am newbie here. I applied through a representative under family sponsorship. my wife is in Canada and I am Outland .
My wife got the spousal approval email yesterday and not my representative.
Is it normal?
I am scared cz my representative has linked the file online and checks and he is saying he should have got this update as well as he is the representative ?? And he might not see further updates as well?
Can someone please enlighten on this ?
I have been trying to call cic since morning and it keeps disconnecting saying high column of calls.

My Application received on 14 Feb but didn't received AOR1 yet hence I Called today and agent told me they are finishing for 26 Jan application and I can not get application number until file is in system.

I have to wait few more days.
