I'm new in the forum and I still do not know how to move, I hope I'm in the right place.

My question is about Canadian citizenship.

I was born in Italy in 1973, while my father who emigrated to Canada got citizenship in 1974, Am i a Canadian citizen? Can i apply for citizenship.

You did not gain citizenship through your father thus cannot apply for citizenship certificate since you were born before your father acquired Canadian citizenship.

You can be qualified for citizenship 3 years after you have gained Canadian permanent resident status. Since you are at least 45 years old, your father obviously cannot sponsor you for PR. So you would have to apply for PR on your own merits.
