Hello All,

I`ve been looking through all the forums day in and day out for the last 5 weeks and everyone queries and answers have been really helpful.

However i do have a question which is on my mind, So basically i plan on visiting my Canadian girlfriend in May for 6 months, i am from the UK so i know i don`t need a visa, my question is would i need to show them proof of a return ticket or can i say i will buy the return ticket closer to the time the 6 months is over?

Let me help you guys out as i know i would need to show ties to show that i am returning however the reason i ask is that i have visited my girlfriend once a month so it shows that i have come to Canada in the last 12 months i have been there about 7 times, the only time i was not there was when my girlfriend visited me for 3 months in the summer. I am wondering is that a good tie to show that i will actually leave at the end of the 6 months or will they say that i don`t have enough ties linking me back home?

So to summarize is showing up to Canada quite a few times in the last few months and always going back enough proof that i will need to be allowed to enter for the 6 months or is it best to buy a return ticket?

So you have visited Canada 7 times in the last 12 months?

Then you should have no problems.

Thank you so much for the reply as I will have the letter of invitation and around $5000 with me to bring however I have no ties back home so no return ticket would be okay since I have proof I do return from my trips right

After coming in 7 times in the last 12 months I think you are well pass any concern to CBSA.
