Hi all ! Please can you help. My parents papers is under supervisa, their visa validity is up to 5 years but stamp on their passport is not clear because they arrived on October 11,2017 and the stamp on their passport is PG20171010, which is before arrival Now I don’t know if its typo error because I knew that once they didn’t stamp it means only 6 months now I don’t know where to inquire and if I need to extend their stay since it’s been six months . Please give me some idea what to do...

Thanks in advance

If they have a supervisa they are allowed to stay 24 months unless stated otherwise. The stamp shows only the entry date, it has no effect on the total stay but to know where to start counting the 24 months.

Hi

Yes, they need to apply to extend their stay.

They are only allowed to stay 24 months if that date is handwritten in the passport.

Yes the date in the passport is handwritten (PG20171010) but my parents arrived here in Canada October 11,2017 It means that date is before the arrival. That why I’m thinking maybe it’s just a typo error on the year.
