Express Entry : PCC Requirement : Qatar

Hi Guys,
So i am done with my IELTS and WES. Just waiting on the IELTS score. Here's the issue. We need to also furbish PCC / Good Conduct certificates for any countries that we have lived for more than 6 months. I have lived in UAE, India (citizen), Qatar, Bahrain and USA. USA is easy, i found out. Bahrain is also relatively not an issue and so is UAE. However, it is the Qatar PCC that is of a concern.
See the thing is, i live in UAE. The Qatar embassy is closed down indefinitely there as a result of tensions between Gulf Countries and Qatar. Now, I have 2 options, either i go to Qatar and get it done, which is not possible, or someone on my behalf applies at the Embassy in Mumbai. One of the requirements by the Embassy in India is :

• "Original fingerprints certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Qatari Embassy in the country where you are currently residing."

Issue is that i dont know where do i get the fingerprint done here in Mumbai.
And that is what i need your help for. Does anyone have any ideas regarding this.

I have managed to get a Qatar PCC recently from UAE through Afreno consultancy based in Qatar.I hope they could help you.

Hi. How much did it cost and how much time did it take.

Total cost around AED 7000(Afreno consultation fees,attestation,fingerprints,power of attorney,courier etc).
Whole process took 1 month( After submitting the documents to Afreno consultancy, it took only 8 days).
It is better to contact them since Qatar embassy is closed here, they will advise to do the attestation in another embassy, most probably Kuwait.

You are right. with that money, you can come to Qatar and get the PCC urself.

What you can do is send an email to ceid@moi.gov.qa and inform them that you are in the UAE and you cannot get the attestation of the documents done in Qatar embassy UAE as it is closed.

I had a similar problem. I wanted UAE PCC from Qatar. When i contacted UAE, they said i could send them my original fingerprints form MOI Qatar and get them attested by MOFA Qatar.

you can try this and who knows u will be lucky.

Yes, I know it is an insane amount.But what to do, I need it urgent at that time.I have no other option, so I contacted them & got full stay PCC (including business visa & Residence permit).

Okay. So an update guys.
I went to india on a small trip. Got my fingerprints done at local police station and they charged "Rupees 1000". Got it in 2 days. Following that, i went to the Qatar embassy and got the list of all documents needed, and prepared a full set of everything. Now my father took everything there, however, they said that the fingerprint paper was in marathi. Which caused a bit of a delay. however, they told us to get an affidavit done with the information they needed in english, ex: name of the fingers in english etc. then, my dad took it again, submitted everything. paid the fees about Rupees 2200 and USD 31. And done.
Now it should take about 2-3 months to get the PCC From Qatar.

I went to a local police station near the place I stay and they have no clue about the fingerprint report .I showed him the photo of the sample report which I had - someone from Kerala had gotten it done. But they just stared at me with blank faces.

Can someone please point me in the right direction? I already have ITA and just 45 days left!! I plan to go to Qatar after that but this thing is becoming insanely difficult .

Even when I went to my local police station they had no clue. But I had to explain to them in detail about what I need and what's the format and stuff. I went to Qatar consulate to see a format and showed the format to the police station guys.

Which area was this? And did you talk to any specific person from any specific Dept. There?

I had gone to the passport section in the police stn .

I went to the major police station in the area and spoke to the guys who handle the passport paperwork.

Hi - I finally got it done from Fingerprint Bureau Mumbai (Which is a division of CID) for Qatar PCC.

Fingerprint Bureau Mumbai
2nd Floor, European Bunglow, Dr. Dadabhai Naroji Road, Opp. Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Marg Police Station, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400001

They officially charged me 500 Rs. for the report - and gave me a receipt.

They were extremely friendly and helpful. They knew exactly what was supposed to be done.

I would recommend before going there - just check with the consulate of the respective country for any specific format in which the report might be required.
