That too of a PNP I believe Cases like those are exception. I too am eagerly waiting for my Eligibility to be cleared. Rest will be formalities. As for now we got to wait like grizzly waits patiently for salmon gets in its mouth

Hi Everyone,

I had applied on 12th March 2018. Received AOR same time. I did not get an option to pay RPRF $490. It just prompted me an option of 550 which i paid. I am wondering why was I not given an option to pay $490 as I wanted to pay both together. Did anybody face the same issue?
Status now says medical passed and "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check"
Any help, guidance is greatly appreciated.

May be you did not select the option of paying both the fees together. It asks for that confirmation before you start filling the ITA form I remember. Based on that it give you total fees to be paid after you upload the documents.

After MEP, if your BG Check Status is "We are processing your background check, We will send you a message if we need more information" then you are in IP2 stage..

After MEP, if your BG Check Status is "Your Application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check" then you are in IP1 stage..


The PR File Processing from AOR to COPR is the Quickest for CEC Applicants, then comes FSW applicants, and later PNP applicants.

My AOR was 23rd march
MEP 28th march
My BG changed to : we are processing your background check.... on 29th
But they have asked me for RCMP
What stage am I at? IP2

Hi friends, I need some advice. I am in the IP1 stage of the EE process . Me and my boyfriend are planning to get married in like next couple of months and I would want to add him to the process. At what point of the process should we do it ? After PPR or after CoPR ? How long the delay could be ? And if I get the PPR before that how much time will I have to submit my passport? Because even if we are able to get married it will still lake about 4 to 6 weeks to get the marriage certificate and I have read from other threads that after you notify the IRCC they will give you 7 days to submit the necessary documents.

How do you guys know if your elgibility is passed or not? Like is there a way to find out your current status of your application? Just out of curiosity

Hi @andy108

I submitted all my documents to CIC on march10, 2018. Within 5 days I got a message that I have passed the medical exam. My background check tab shows a message that " we haven't started your background check. We will send you a message once we start it".

I have only paid the processing fee as of now. I was wondering when will I get the request to pay Landing fees?
