Hi everyone! so happy to find this forum!

I received Ontario NOI and read the document checklist. Now I have a pile of questions, especially about the work history:

1.I know I'm chosen because of my french, then should I apply under the HCP or french-speaking skilled workers stream? Will there be any difference? I'm eligible for both.

2.About the work history:

1)I've been working in a company for more than a decade.Do I have to include my work experience prior to that in my resume? or I just mention the current job because it has lasted more than 10 years?

2)My annual salary is not fixed, so I just need to give a round number. Is that right?

3)The work contracts are mandatory. But I have a problem:My first work contracts were signed periodically, every two years for example. On the 10th year the company signed an unfixed-term labor contract with me.I didn't keep the first contracts and have only the current contract, signed about 4 years ago.Is that OK? My supervisor can certify in the reference letter that I've been working there for more than 10 years.

4)About the proof of compensation: the checklist recommends proof for the first and last month for each work experience. But my bank says that it can't provide bank statements of such a long time ago. So could I just provide the recent bank statements?

5)I apply with my son.My spouse will not accompany us to Canada. What documents about him should I provide?

I know some of these questions are a bit silly. But I do want to know the answer...Thanks for any help...

1. French stream is easier (no headache about your min. points).
1b. you need to prove 1 year of work experience within last 5 years and then years where you got transferability bonus (up to 3 years within last 10 years) and then also that you meet EE entrance criteria (up to 6 years within last 10). Anything older than 10 years ago is not interesting for them)
2b. All they need to know is that you did not work for free. So for example some salary slips, or a something else at least proving the basic salary (if you get commissions). But attention it needs to be 3rd party verified (salary slips are from your employer).
3b. Reference letter from your employer shall help here.
4b. Again you have several options how to prove paid work experience. (reference letter is one of them as well)
5b. Birth certificate, passport copy and more important consent from your wife that she allows your son to go with you to Canada. You will still need marriage certificate, explain the reasoning for your wife and she still would have to get PCC later on (after you will get ITA) and her medical as well. If you need to provide her photo and passport copies for Ontario, check in their guide (safe approach would be to provide it). And you still have to show enough funds for 3 people (even if she will not accompany you).

Thanks! That's so helpful!
Still, about the documents about my spouse, do I have to include them from the beginning, I mean, when I submit the application after receiving the NOI, or I could provide them after they give me the provincial nomination? and by ' explain the reasoning' , do you mean we should attach a letter explaining why my spouse can't come with us?

Yes you shall disclose if your spouse is non accompanying and why. Also if you will use PNP, then there are no secondary intentions (like to increase your score just to get ITA).
And yes whatever is doubtful or might not be understood properly shall be explained in LOE (in this case letter about your wife). Much easier than let ask for it and then wait longer time because of ADR (additional documents request).
Personal advice - unless your marriage is going to separation, it is easier to get PR together and then she can still work abroad a bit.
Because you still have to show her medical, PCC and enough money for the whole family.

Got it, thanks for your clear and patient explanation. I was given the NOI through the Express Entry system. When I entered the EE pool, I already noted that my spouse would not accompany us. As you say, it's better to explain than let ask. Thanks again!
