Rejection in Express Entry Pool

Actually, I need a bit of help, generally an advice or suggestion.
Let me give you a quick overview of what I have done till now for Express Entry (Canada).

I have completed my ECA from World Education Services. I have gained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering (June 2012 - May 2016)

I have scored overall 6.5 bands in IELTS British Council. Bands in each section are as follows:
Listening: 6.5
Reading: 6
Writing: 7
Speaking: 6
This makes my CLB level 7, if I am not mistaken.

I have a work experience of 1 and half years in Technical Editing. NOC code 5122
Currently, I am working with Built.io as a Technical Writer. NOC code is 5121

I am applying on basis of my first work experience, i.e. NOC code 5122
I have a sibling in Ontario. She is a Permanent Resident living from last 4 years

I have close relatives too, in Manitoba and Ontario.

I have no spouse.

Considering all these details, I've calculated my score to be eligible for Federal Skill Worker Program.

The calculated score is as follows:

• Age - 24 years: 12 points
  
• IELTS- CLB 7: 18 Points
  
• Education - Bachelor's degree: 23 Points
  
• Work experience: - 1 and half year: 9 points
  
• Sibling: 5 points

Total Points 67

FSW program requires 67/100 to be eligible into the pool

I'd created my Express entry profile and on submission, it gave me the message
"We regret to inform you that you are no longer eligible to be in the pool. Check your messages below for details."
"Federal Skilled Worker: Not Met"

Please help me out with this. Let me know if I am making some mistake in FSW points calculation or need more job experience.

Hi, working on your IELTS results could be a way to increase your chances. Pls keep in mind that when it comes to the language exams, what matters are the results of the reading, listening, writing and speaking sections individually, NOT the overall score.

I understand your point, but minimum bands required in FSW program in each section of IELTS is 6. i.e. 6 bands in listening, reading, writing, and speaking

However, I have scored above minimum bands in writing and listening. So I don't think so IELTS result is making me lag. Still I'll try to give IELTS again

I think, it is the Education; for Bachelors you won't get 23 points.

one more thing...... my first job, i.e. technical editors job, I have experience of 1 year 6 month (NOC 5122)

Can I combine both these work experiences and show 2 years working experience?

work on your IELTS scores. Writing is decent, maintain it at that level. The other scores need work.

Akash, you should concentrate on getting the MEC sorted out immediately. All your worries start once you enter the EE pool.

Did you input the correct amount in funds that you plan to bring to Canada? It needs to be at least the minimum set by CIC

according to CIC, one person should bring at least 12000$ approx to Canada

Akash, first language maximum is 24 points, while you have 21 points. Essentially, you need 7 each in RWS and a 8 in L.

I believe so. Essentially you have to secure 2 years or more experience or score 2 more points in IELTS under this conversion to be eligible. However, this is the bare minimum via FSW route.

Next hurdle would be to get an ITA. See if your scores are competitive enough and how can you improve if not.

I had a similar query. My experience too is somewhat similar to yours. Did you combine your both experiences? If yes, under which NOC code did you apply. How was the experience?
