My advise is to stay away fromnit. Its all upto you. I agree could be you are right but not good issue to put on forum and you know it. If we start such issues here it will not stay good country anymore because it will create same environment as back home and longer term you will see people fighting on bases of races like few other countries and that will benefit to some special people.

Just get ready for test and get 20/20. Good luck

Yeah Canada is a great country no doubt about that. But by no means, one can claim there is no discrimination in this country. Also, I didn't say the claim is true or false. In contrary I supported Jeff.torbain's suggestion to see if the claim is valid or not.

Thanks a lot buddy for your advice :)
Like I said before, we are here to help one another and this is not a baseless claim. If you have couple minutes, do a quick search on twitter and you will see lots of different cases which looks like discrimination. If adding a new column to the spreadsheet can provide some help to clear things up and provide some statistics, I think it's totally appropriate to bring the matter up in this forum.

Appropriate or not, and I don't think a lot of people will want to give you the info, it will never be any sort of accurate barometer since you don't have enough data.

I dont believe its true here. Try to visit most of Europian countries and then you will realize where Canada stands at.

Good luck with your research...!

Please update, passed the exam today 19/20. At the interview after the exam, officer indicated no further concerns. Now wait for decision, all in their hands now!

At my interview we mainly went over proof of physical presence, departure & arrival. Looked at every single trip outside Canada listed on the physical presence calculator, matched against passport stamps and their border entry database. But even then there are stamps missing, in my case because I use NEXUS to go to the US frequently and sometimes the US border officer doesn't even stamp my passport, just stamp the I-94 which is surrendered after the trip, or just look and wave me through.

So the night before interview I did due diligence and went through my passport and the physical presence calculator looking for missing stamps, and then went to gather receipts and boarding passes proving I travelled to/from Canada on that day. Very lucky I did so, there were many missing stamps and any one of them could have delayed my application indefinitely, but I had all the boarding passes and other receipts with my name so the officer was able to confirm all the dates are supported. (I also gathered and printed out all my tax assessments, employment documents, study transcripts, but they weren't needed because they were able to obtain them separately, or I had sent them in with the application package.)

At my citizenship centre, everyone goes into the test room at the same time and write the test. Then people finish at their own pace, once they're done they hand the test in at the front and go to the interview waiting room. The order of people called up for interview was in the order that they handed in the test. So people who finish the test slower, had much longer to wait in the waiting room behind everyone else. So if you don't want to wait so long, best to finish the test the fastest (so long as you're sure of your answers) and be one of the first to be called up. But then, different test centre may handle things differently.

I hope this information helps others, as I have been helped very much by the information others posted to this forum also on my immigration journey.

Just got a letter to provide proof of physical presence... Pls Update...
Pls update that there is no update in a way I guess : / got 2 weeks to get that done!!!! beyond sad.. but I am sure worth it at the end
Sorry to see your application has been diverted into a non-routine path.

There is an extensive discussion of the various presence related requests and questionnaires in the topic titled: "RQ versus Physical Presence Questionnaires, including CIT 0205"
such as this page: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/rq-versus-physical-presence-questionnaires-including-cit-0205.534082/page-2

In other posts you refer to what you received as a "presence questionnaire."

It could be helpful if you identify which form your request is, including form number and what its specific title is. These post-interview requests typically come in one of the following forms or formats:
-- letter with specific requests
-- CIT 0520 which is known as RQ-lite
-- CIT 0171 which is often referred to a full-blown RQ

And, there is also the PPQ-QAE CIT 0205 which is a form others have received around the time their application gets IP status and which comes with a cover letter and additional items making specific requests, including specific requests for certain documents, a request for a Canadian citizen reference, a request for consent to obtain U.S. travel history, and the CIT 0205 form, which is titled "Physical Presence Questionnaire - Quality Assurance Exercise."

We know that all of these are still in use. I am not sure, however, whether the CIT 0171 is still titled "Residence Questionnaire" or if it has been renamed "Physical Presence Questionnaire" (as of the 11-2017 version), or what other changes have been made to it in the 11-2017 version. (Thus, for example, if you received CIT 0171 and it is titled "Physical Presence Questionnaire," that would help clarify the direction IRCC is taking.)

Why is this information important? There is a lot we do not know about how IRCC decides who gets these non-routine requests, or why, or how IRCC processes them. Thus the other topic I have referenced and linked above, is a place to gather information, foremost to share, but also to provide a common body of information from which we can learn more about these non-routine procedures and how they can affect individual applicants.

Thus, for example, among things we have been able to figure out, the CIT 0520 form usually means that IRCC does not have any serious concerns or suspicions, and is mostly doing due diligence to verify particular information. Historically the CIT 0171, in contrast, if issued at or following the interview, typically signals there are significant questions if not concerns, potentially some suspicion (this is distinguishable from a pre-test RQ, which we have not seen in a long while and which probably has been replaced by the CIT 0205 requests). Thus, there is typically no serious delay for those who timely and sufficiently respond to the CIT 0520 while the CIT 0171 tends to result in longer delays and sometimes rather long delays.

We also know (relatively well) that in responding to the CIT 0520 generally it should be OK to stick to precisely what is asked. In contrast, in responding to the CIT 0171 it can be prudent to go the extra mile to document work, address, and travel history, and any other evidence showing physical presence, depending on how strong the case is (for example, an applicant issued CIT 0171 because of big discrepancies in reported travel history, or because some relevant passport could not be presented, probably should make an extra-effort to gather and submit supporting evidence).

In any event, whatever detail you can share about the specific form and requests you received would be appreciated.

How many days it takes for test invite after the fingerprints???
No one can estimate that. It's not deterministic. Test invites can be sent independent of an FP request. Several applicants on this forum received a test invite and FP request on the same day. In other cases, IRCC may wait till background check is complete, and then send out a test invite.

No one can estimate how long your background check will take, as it varies from case to case.
