Just got PPR for my spouse, but the status on the ECAS has not changed, there is a letter of pre-arrival services in the new message, what does this mean.

AlsoI was wondering if there is a place in Canada where the passport can be submitted as my spouse is visiting me and is on a visit visa. One of the sections does state that it can be submitted within Canada, but I was wondering if anyone here has any experience. I also know that the embassy is in New Delhi is closed till Tuesday and I will not get any information from them. Things are fairly time-bound. Please help. Regards

congratulation..
you can submit passport to CPC-Ottawa.

But before submitting, you reply to PPR email requesting "Instructions to submit passport in Canada"

They will inform you in 2-3 days with almost same email as 1st PPR.

Difference between submitting passport is in canada you mail the passport with prepaid return envelope. While in india you submit passport at a VFS office personally.

The email that is currently received has that information, but I will email them again to re-confirm. I understand that there will be another process after receiving the Permanent Resident VISA on the passport.

It seems like many applicants from June got the decision made and PPR. However, the consolidated file shows only 8 applicants got it so far.

June applicants- Please update status of your application for others to track/calculate their timeline.
