Hello All,
My wife and I are in Dubai and wanted to leave for canada well in time in order to meet the residency obligation within the 5 year time frame. However in end 2016 my father in law, 85 years old, was diagnosed with cancer. My father in law is living in Delhi. he is still undergoing treatment. Due to close proximity of Dubai to Delhi we decided to defer relocating to Canada as me and my wife had to frequently visit him. Our PR card are expiring in Sept 2018.

My question is whether this current situation be accepted by authorities for humanitarian reasons. Kindly advise

No - it won't.

It would only be H&C if you had moved to Delhi to be with him and take care of him full time because he had no one else to care for him.
