Hi I am in to Express entry pool since July 2016, renewed my profile in September 2017 my current CRS score is 318. My current age is 38, I am married and have two minor kids. I got overall score of 7.0 in Ielts with 7.5 each in Reading and listening writing 6.5 and 6.0 in speaking. 1. You should max on your IELTS (general training, not academic) by 8 7 7 7 (8 on Listening), and try to get a Master Degree. These 2 things will push you up to a new level of CRS.
2. You can also try to learn French to get a CLB 7
3. You can try to get a study permit as you have thought, that would be easier (but longer)

Thanks a lot for ur suggestion I had actually attempted both General and academic IELTS and in General I got R 7.5,L 7.5,W6.5,S 6.0, whereas in Academic I got L6. 5,S6.5,W 5.5,R5.5. Even if I attain CLB 9 still I will not get more than 400 score. Pls suggest.
Guess what many people did not have their studies in English or French, yet they were able to learn those languages.
1. Maximize your IELTS score
2. Let assess education of your wife (the language in which she studied does not matter. What matter is what equivalent will she get on ECA).
3. Your wife shall sit on her but and start learning English. And then she shall take IELTS as well
4. Learn French
5. If you do not have 2 diplomas or Master then consider option to get additional diploma (to get more points)
6. Check all PNP streams if you can immigrate that way
7. Check options of additional studies in Canada (university study).

8 7 7 7 on IELTS will make a big difference (up to 50 scores) so I think you guys should try your best on this. You guys can also consider Ontario PNP as they just sent Notification of Interest to people whose scores range from 355 to 445 with certain conditions (have job offer in Ontario or have French level at CLB7). If your working experience belongs to ICT area, that would also be an advantage as many provinces are attracting ICT profesionals via their PNP programs.

What do you mean by IRCC ref letter? You dont need any ref letter to do ECA. Just pay the fee and get it done. You need to do ECA to get proper evaluation if your education is equal to Mphil or not.
Trade Skilled Worker category has a lower points requirements but you need to prove at least one year of FT employment in one of the trades. If you can't then best option is to go as a student and earn a degree in CA. You'll increase your education score and get points for the Canadian exp and then take it from there. This will have a financial burden but taking into consideration your low score it will be the best option
