That sounds very cheap for an international student fee which usually are in the 15000 - 18000 range per year, which university is this ?

As for working given only allowed to work upto 20 hours a week unless on a scheduled break the usual answer would be given jobs are usually only minimum wage ones that at most only living expenses are covered. So you will have to do the math.

Do you mean that a student is not allowed to work above a minimum wage of $11.15 as in Manitoba? Or any other province in Canada? Please be clearer!!!

They are allowed to work above minimum wage. However since you're a student and part time, typically the only jobs you are going to find are minimum wage jobs. Some students have difficulty finding any job.

The answer to your question is that you should not expect to be able to cover your tuition through a job in Canada.

Also note that to be approved for a study permit, you must be able to show funds covering your first year tuition + $10K in living expenses.

I also need some guidance from you regarding the proof of financial condition for the student permit. I presently live in Turkey but I am from Afghanistan.
My mom and my sister have two joint accounts in a Turkish bank , one with 100,000 USD and other worth 400,000 Turkish Lira ( about 100,000 USD). The bank pays interest to us on a monthly basis . I have the option of becoming a joint account holder replacing my mom . My mom is retired and receives about 7000 USD because of pension. We have a small business in Afghanistan and receive around 600 USD(cash) every month. We also earn some money from the rent of an apartment in Kabul which is 300 USD per month. Presently, I do not work because I graduated 6 months ago and I want to go for further studies. Now, considering my situation, what would be a good course of action ? should I become self funded student by becoming a joint account holder or my mom has to become my sponsor ?

1. You require 30 Credit hours to be considered a full time student, @ $425 per hour for 30 hours = about $12,000 per semester plus fees.

As far as i know the answer is NO. because the official working hours permit for students is 20H max. But if u can want to work more then u can almost accommodate expenses but it will be very risky!. I suggest you to have a extra arrangement for emergency situations otherwise there is nothing impossible.
Good luck bro

Not just risky but illegal and would not only put study permit at risk but any future plans for PR.
