i dont know .. he told me .. he cant take any action because 18 months not completed yet....he said.. everything is good and there is no outstanding

Just wondering what kind of "action" the call centre agent can take when we call them? Thanks

But when I called CIC ,they said they can’t take any action as my file is already 18 months

Hi Friends, I applied August 6 2016, and ME passed Nov 2017, BG from Feb 26. account still "We are processing your background check." I called CIC, replied the security is in progress. May I know if I am in deep security check? I has relation with my background of chemical engineering? Thanks

I think they have concerns with engineering degree.i did computer engineering and waiting for ppr , bgip feb 27, sept 20 applicant.

Same timeline. I just got a offer from a military service company which needs at least a PR status, and now just do a survival job. Totally furious about the service. Canada seems do not like chemical engineering and close mining plants.

I will be doing my medical exam tomorrow....I am nervous. I am an inland applicant. What should I bring with me? Do I need to eat or do everything under an empty stomach for lab purposes? I printed out a medical report form and I have my passport. What else?


Also, does going through medical exams is a good sign and one step closer to a PR?

Same here man , I am working as a consultant in university and is offered a permanent position but will loose my job because I don’t have PR. I am really tensed .

I don't think so! I am also a Chemical Engineer and it all went smooth for me except the upfront medical causing a few weeks of delay. I am a September 12 applicant and got PPR on 7 March.

Wow, how long would it take then? So after medicals security and criminality check? If you pass then a green light and ppr?
