Your post is a bit confusing. If you're a protected person, then you can and should have applied for PR. Have you done that?I am a protected person here in canada going on 6 yrs, I read the news that the prime minister was offering amnesty to Regugee Claimants who have never been in trouble with the law.

Trudeau has been in office for quite a long time now - no amnesty has been introduced. Unfortunately you don't really have any options other than to wait for your hearing and hope for a positive outcome (or leave and abandon your claim).
