Police Clearance Parent Sponsorship

Good day

We were invited to submit a sponsorship application for my mom.

We have to send in a application within 60 days. Currently, an application for a police clearance certificate takes 8 weeks.

Will CIC still accept an attached letter indicating that we will forward the certificate when we receive it? (after the application has been sent in)

I also got the letter of invite couple of days ago. Not sure if we have to send PCC right now. May be submit it at a later stage? I am also trying to confirm this. Trying to sponsor my mom..

I called CIC today. they confirmed that you can submit the PCC at a later stage if you specify in an attached letter why it is not included with your original application.
