Hi, my parents application is In process in Ottawa visa office since Jun 2017. And my parents are currently living in India.
they are visiting Canada (and USA) in mid-April 2018, I was thinking if I should ask them to do PCC from India and bring along the certificate to Canada? what do you suggest?
Keeping in mind it is close to 1 year in process the request for PCC can come any time when they are in Canada or USA , so is it advisable they should do it now while they are in India? Will it be hard to do when they are in Canada?
Also, how long does it take to get PCC in India because their flight is in almost 15 -20 days.

I got email for submit application.
So we are 3 person me my wife and 6yr daughter
Below is my income
I am here since 2010 as student than workpermit and landed as pr feb 2015
My and my wife combine income for 2015 is 29k
2016 is 50k
2017 is 59k
Can i qualified?
As i see my 2015 income is low but now we have in 2018 more than 90k
So can i submit application? With explanation and current income proof?

They need your income for last three years. Considering you 3 people and sponsoring both parents, you need to meet income of family size 5. For that your 3 years of income should be $67,400 for 2017, $66,656 for 2016 and $65,377 for 2015.

They don’t count for 2018 income.

unfortunately you are not qualified for all 3 years ( family size is 5) . they dont care about 2018 since you must meet lico for 2015-2017. thats why they choose 15k applications, like result will be 10k

Is it required to be PR for 3 years (2015, 2016 and 2017) to be eligible for 2018?

I was on a work permit for 2015 and received my PR in 2016. I am PR now. My income criteria are good for all three years ..

You can co-sign the application. In fact that's recommended even if one person meets the income requirements. It might come in handy down the road if the income is rechecked during application processing.

At the time of application; if you've already received the NOA for tax year 2017, you need the income from 2015-17. If not, you will need 2014-16.

Selected for 2018 sponsorship, got a couple of a questions, hoping the senior member in this group can help out. Apologies if this has been asked already. I hope folks who have had this exact scenario or know someone in the same situation as me reply:

1) My parents are in Canada since early Feb '18. What should be their "Current country of residence" (question 10 on IMM008). Should it be Pakistan (their permanent residence) or Canada as they are physically here?
2) What if they dont have a marriage certificate? Cant the NIC/Passport/FRC [family registration certificate] be enough to prove that they are married?

1- Pakistan. Assuming they're visitors in Canada. When we applied they're here as well but we mentioned Pakistan and there's no objection.
2- You can provide an affidavit.

At the time of application; if you've already received the NOA for tax year 2017, you need the income from 2015-17. If not, you will need 2014-16.
Unfortunately, seems you don't meet income requirements for 2016-17 either.
